Doringbos

A remote homestead on a rocky ridge above the Doring River —
275 kilometres, and a world away, from Cape Town.

An Escape From Reality

Doringbos sits high on a ridge above the perennial Doring River, deep in the Cederberg — three thousand hectares held by one family, opened to a handful of guests since 2020. There is no programme here. Only the sound of water below, the shift of light on sandstone, and a fire lit each evening beneath a sky thick with stars. A fine yet unmistakably farm-style way of life.
